Marcellan is a recent crossing of two famous red grape varieties, Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon. Paul Truel first cultivated it in 1961 near the French town of Marcellan, where its name comes from. Coloured red wine with a light taste with aromas and flavours of mixed berries, and plums, which can be accompanied by notes of cinnamon and cloves. Marselan can pair nicely with lamb, pork, light stews and stronger cheeses.
